Firm Profile
Context. Culture. Environment.
We believe that architecture together with context produces great buildings. To understand context leads to a successful relationship between regional cultures and a response to environmental reality. In this respect, understanding context is our greatest challenge.
In our view, a project should build on the lessons derived from land, community, culture and environment. We believe in being respectful of each site we work with by not only creating positive change but also limiting the negative effects of our efforts. To leave a small footprint is a challenge not only architecturally, but also philosophically; our work is framed in the context of what we leave behind.
At Bartzen + Ball, we also believe in clients more than building types. By designing to our client’s needs, we develop lasting relationships as well as buildings that are respectful of and informed by the communities they serve.
